Vancouver-Clark Disc Golf has been working in cooperation with the Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation Department to establish and maintain a public disc golf course at Leverich Park. In the fall of 2008 the first public disc golf course was installed at Leverich Park. The 12 hole course is a permanent part of the park, drawing disc golf enthusiasts from throughout the Portland metro area, as well as more casual players and families from the local neighborhoods. In order to keep the course in top shape we are asking local businesses and individuals to partner with us by sponsoring holes on the course.
There are only twelve opportunities to participate each year. Ten of the holes have already been sponsored for 2009. Hole sponsorships cost $100 for a standard or $500 for a gold sponsorship. Each sponsorship is for one year and every dollar of sponsorship money will go to maintain the disc golf course. Replacing damaged targets and signs, cleaning up trash, controlling erosion and course improvements will be paid for with this money. Every sponsor will be acknowledged on the sign for the hole they sponsor in a 3” x 11” sponsor box on the 12”x18” tee sign. Full color artwork may be submitted for use in the sponsor box.
In addition gold sponsors will be acknowledged on the official scorecards and course maps available online and during special events at the course.
