Work Party Saturday January 9th 9 a.m.
Jason & Steve will be at Leverich at 9 a.m. to install a couple garbage cans and build a tee pad for hole 12. If we get enough help we would also like to do a little maintenance on the "stairs" from 5 to 6.
If you can come out be at the upper parking lot at 9 a.m. with your gloves. Plan for a BBQ lunch or burgers at DQ depending on how many people show up. Jason will run a mini-tournament at 1 p.m.
By the Bottle Wash Slosh
Plans are currently underway to host the February Stumptown Slosh Tournament in Vancouver. Tournament Directors Ryan Gwillim and Steve Carson have secured "By the Bottle" as the title sponsor. We are currently negotiating with the Lakeview Par 3 Challenge Golf Course to rent their facility on February 20th, 2010. The course will follow the ball golf course layout with a few modification in order to accomodate 13 holes instead of the normal 9 holes.

2010 Hole Sponsorship Opportunities
The time has come to renew Leverich Disc Golf Course hole sponsorships for 2010. The cost to sponsor a hole will remain the same for 2010 as it was for 2009, $100 for standard sponsorship and $500 for gold level sponsorship. Gold level sponsors will be listed first on all materials related to the course and sponsors will also be given a hole sponsorship for each tournament held at the course that Vancouver/Clark Disc Golf is assisting with.

Lower Daybreak Regional Park
Clark County is in the process of developing a Master Plan for Lower Daybreak Park northwest of Battle Ground. The first public meeting regarding the plan was last Wednesday and 8 disc golfers were present at the meeting. As a result of public comment the possibility of adding disc golf to the master plan of this park is a real possibility.
Please take a couple minutes and complete the following survey for the parks department. http://bit.ly/DaybreakPark

Don't forget fall league is under way on Wednesday nights until DST ends.
Charity Tournament Sept 12th - Leverich
Calling all newbies, beginners, and amatuer disc golf players! Join us for a day of fun at Leverich Park in Vancouver, WA. This is fun-filled day of events to support Leverich Park, and we just want to have a good time! We have an awesome day planned of disc golf with beervana prizes for longest drive, closest to the basket, and the winning foursome. After disc play, we’re going to have lunch and a huge raffle with a guaranteed win for each player is included in your green fee. Any additional purchased tickets will also benefit Leverich Park.
Even if you don’t want to disc golf, you can still plan your own BBQ or picnic. The park is quite beautiful with a woodsy feel in some places, and open play areas in others. While you are golfing, family members can enjoy playground equipment, a very large covered shelter with two fireplaces, picnic tables, and extensive hiking & biking trails.
Concrete Tee Pads

Thanks to a generous donation from Next Adventure we now have concrete tee pads on the course. Next Adventure really wanted to make sure that the upcoming Clash on the Columbia tournament was done right and so they paid for the concrete to complete the course. Additional funds were taken from our sponsorship fund which is held by the Parks Foundation.
